Harper Named One of Apple Distinguished Schools for 2023-26

District 39 is thrilled to announce that all four of its elementary schools (Central, Harper, McKenzie, and Romona) have been recognized as Apple Distinguished Schools for 2023-26. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Highcrest Middle School and Wilmette Junior High School earning the recognition last year, meaning all six District 39 schools are now Apple Distinguished Schools.

Harper Awarded Renewable Energy Grant

Harper Elementary is one of five District 39 schools that have been awarded a grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation as part of its K-12 Solar Schools program, which fosters the teaching of science, math, technology, and the environment through the use of solar panels to create energy.
